Weekend Shootings in Humboldt Park and Gage Park Neighborhoods
Police reports show that at least 3 people were shot in separate incidents in the Chicago neighborhoods of Humboldt Park and Gage Park over the weekend.
Late Friday night a man in the Humboldt Park neighborhood was shot suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The incident occurred at the 2800 block of West Augusta Blvd. The unidentified man was taken to John Stroger Hospital and is listed in good condition.
In another incident in the area a man was shot in the abdomen at 1:33 a.m. on Saturday at the 3400 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
Another shooting incident occurred late Friday night in the Gage Park neighborhood at 11:05 p.m. In this incident a 15-year-old male victim was shot by a passing vehicle.
The young man was standing on the sidewalk at the 5100 South Rockwell block when a red vehicle passed him and fired shots at him hitting him in the arm. The police believe the shooting to be gang related.
The unidentified male is in good condition at Holy Cross Hospital.
