Cannabis Growth Lab Discovered by Chicago Police

Mobile Strike Force Officers Seize $40,000 Worth of Narcotics

Following a tip from an anonymous citizen, Chicago Police Mobile Strike Force Officers uncovered a cannabis growth lab, seized 25 pounds of cannabis, a quantity of LSD and approximately $900 U.S.C.  Three offenders were arrested and charged in connection with this incident.

Joshua W. Jansky, 23, of the 2100 block of S. Kedzie, was arrested and charged with one felony count of Cannabis - Possession / 30-500 grams and one felony count of Cannabis – Man/Delivery 30-500 grams.


Scott M. Suszek, 28, of the 2100 block of S. Kedzie, was arrested and charged with one felony count of Cannabis – Man/Delivery 30-500 grams.


John Hickey, 23, of the 2100 block of S. Kedzie, was arrested and charged with one felony count of Cannabis – Man/Delivery 30-500 grams.

Based upon information developed during the investigation, officers entered the location shortly after 2:30 a.m. where they discovered a large number of mature marijuana plants along with equipment used for growing, cultivating and processing the cannabis plants. Officers also recovered a small amount of LSD and approximately $900 in cash.


All of the offenders are expected to appear in bond court at 2600 S. California on January 23, 2011.
