Twentieth Century Fox has acquired the action thriller script ‘Narco Sub’ penned by former Us Weekly editor David Guggenheim. Tony Scott will direct.
Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films along with Tony and Ridley’s Scott Free Shingle will produce the feature.
The film has been described as reminiscent of Scott’s “Crimson Tide” and “Man on Fire”, but plot details for “Narco Sub” have been kept under wraps.
Both Scott brothers are notorious for attaching themselves to projects that get bumped into the back burner for long periods of time. Honchos at Fox are reportedly excited about this one, so we might see the cocaine-traffic-in-the-ocean thriller go onto production before too long.
