NARCO BLOG: 15-year-old Member of Mexico’s Pacific South Cartel Captured

Giovanni Molina Ortiz, 18 years old, and Erik Antonio Gomez, 15 years old, were captured this week by the Mexican Army in Cuernavaca, Morelos Mexico.

The Mexican Army seized two young member of the South Pacific cartel, and who maintained a friendship with the captured and now infamous ‘El Ponchise’, whose legal name is Edgar Jimenez Lugo.

When the boys were captured they declared themselves as ‘apprentice assassins’ currently working as lookouts for their boss Julio Hernandez Radilla.  Radilla also required the young boys to assist with executions and mutilations of rivals.

Gomez, also confessed to receiving $2,000 pesos a week just for being the look out, which included looking out for Mexican officials and members of the Army.

The Mexican Intelligence Force consider the PSC to be a bloodthirsty group known to have many children who are recruited by Julio Hernández Radilla, deputy of the organization.

After arresting the boys, they were questioned by the press and taken into custody.
