Despite 20% of the total number of Facebook users being American, it is in the Hispanic world where the most Facebookers are found.
The Hispanic world has emerged as the most Facebook active region, as indicated by studies conducted by comScore that say Ciudad the México, Buenos Aires, Bogotá and Madrid are all within the 10 cities with the most number of Facebook users, followed by Caracas at #11, Santiago de Chile at #12, and Lima, Perú at #18.
The study revealed that in Caracas, there are more active Facebook accounts than there are people, as users often create more than one profile.
Spanish is consolidated as the second language used in the network after English, with more than 130 million users that interact in Spanish on Facebook.
According to comScore, México is the Latin American nation with the most users (26,418,280), while Chile is the most Facebook-user saturated countryin the world, with 50.62% of the sampled population owning a Facebook account.
