No victims or major damages have been reported, though several buildings were evacuated in Buenos Aires—hundreds of miles away from the epicenter.

U.S. Geological Services say the epicenter was 400 miles below the surface of the earth, and some 80 miles southeast of Santiago del Estero, the 12th-largest city in Argentina.
