“Every single immigrant we have, undocumented or documented, is a future American. That’s just the truth of it.”

Dominican-American writer, professor, and editor Junot Díaz appeared on The Colbert Report this week to discuss a number of topics, including immigration.

Díaz, who was born in Santo Domingo, is a creative writing professor at MIT, and fiction editor for the Boston Review. In 2012, he was selected as a MacArthur Fellow and he was the winner of a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.
