Galavision Scores Highest Ratings in Spanish-Language Cable History with U-17 World Cup

Univision Communications Inc., today announced that its exclusive coverage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Final between Mexico and Uruguay brought Galavision the highest ratings in the history of Spanish-language cable television. The game averaged 2.2 million total viewers 2 plus, 1.5 million Adults 18-49, 1.1 million Men 18-49, 983,000 Adults 18-34 and 685,000 Men 18-34.

Nearly 4.1 million Total Viewers 2 plus watched all or part of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Final match won 2-0 by Mexico on Sunday, July 10.

The telecast was the No. 2 program watched by Men 18-49 and 18-34 and ranked fourth in Adults 18-34 for the day among all ad-supported cable networks regardless of language.

In addition to live coverage on Galavision, also offered free streaming of the FIFA U-17 World Cup matches online, where the Mexico vs. Uruguay match resulted in 64,101 unique users with an average stream time of 64 minutes and 42 seconds.  For the FIFA U-17 World Cup section of the site, Univision had more than 998,000 page views, 122,000 unique cookies and 146,000 visits on the day of the final.
