Photo: Chicago Attorney Accused of Showing Breasts to Co-Workers, Arriving to Work Drunk
Chicago attorney Tamara Tanzillo is accused of showing co-workers photos of her breasts, showing up to work late and drunk, and storing nude photos of herself on state-owned computers.
Tanzillo, a 52-year-old attorney formerly with the Illinois Department of Health and Family Services, was fired in 2009 for her inappropriate behavior and is no facing sanctions from the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
Her attorney however, claims Tanzillo was fired in response to her refusal to follow orders she was given during now-shamed former Gov. Rod Blagojevic’s administration.
An inspector general report claimed Tanzillo (formerly Hoffman) was fired from her $118,000-a-year position after it was discovered she was engaging in “arguably decadent personal behavior” including: shopping while on the clock; showing female co-workers photos of her breasts asking what they thought of her implants; arriving at working smelling like alcohol, while appearing wobbly on her feet; keeping nude photos of herself on state computers; and exposing her breasts to two state workers at a tavern in Springfield.
In 2009, she was also accused of threatening a woman after finding out they were dating the same man. A harassment complaint was filed against her, but droped after Tanzillo completed a deferral program.
