Military operations undertaken by federal forces against the main leader of the Sinaloa Cartel brought them to the house of Griselda Lopez Perez, former wife of Joaquin El Chapo Guzman.
Early Monday morning, 17 members of the Navy stormed El Chapos home located at 642 7th Street Drops, San Miguel Hills subdivision in Culiacan, Sinaloa. Apparently the Marines vandalized the property, so Lopez Perez filed a complaint with the National Commission for Human Rights (CNDH), reports the newspaper Rio Doce.
Heriberto Rangel Mendez attorney of El Chapo, came in with his representation to file a complaint with the National Commission for alleged abuses committed by military personnel. The complaint was lodged on Wednesday 19 at the headquarters of the commission; whose staff Officially Parts gave the file number 17763.
López Pérez stated in his complaint that the uniformed officials damaged some furniture, doors and appliances in the property where El Chapos ex-wife lives with her children. “It’s a violation of the rule of law. They arrived at about four o’clock and damaged the furniture, knocked things over, fortunately the family was not there. And one wonders why the harassment, who did they think they would find?” Criticized the lawyer.
