Al Pacino is reportedly out of the animated sequel Despicable Me 2 and Benjamin Bratt has stepped in.
Pacino, who was originally set to voice the villain Eduardo in the flick, is said to have experienced creative differences with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.
Bratt has now stepped in to be the new voice of Eduardo, and it looks to be a big undertaking since the film is set to hit theaters this July. He also lent his voice to the character Manny on another animated sequel, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2.
Despicable Me 2 is the sequel to 2010’s Despicable Me and will once again star Steve Carell as the voice of Gru, as well as Kristin Wiig, Ken Jeong, Miranda Cosgrove, Moises Arias, Russell Brand, and now Bratt.
