TMZ is reporting Alex Rodriguez is prepared to sue Major League Baseball unless they agree to take back his recent suspension and the performance enhancing drug (PED) allegations.
A source close to the tarnished baseball legend says A-Rod feels he is being “persecuted” in the PED scandal being investigated in MLB.
Last week, Rodriguez was handed a 211-game suspension which he claims is unfair, as he had not “knowingly” used PEDs since 2003.
Despite rumors that the Yankees player impeded the investigation into Biogenesis Clinic and PED use by professional athletes, Rodriguez’s people say it is MLB officials who harassed and intimidated witnesses.
Sources also say Rodriguez was drug tested eleven times between 2011 and now and never tested positive for PEDs
Now, the MLB star is reportedly prepared to head to federal court to sue MLB for violating the Collective Bargaining Agreement between MLB and the players’ union.
Rodriguez is reportedly not willing to settle for anything less than a full recant of the 211-game suspension.
