The Universal Music record label launched Monday the first single from an album of songs Jenni Rivera sang at a concert in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey hours before she died in an airplane crash.

The album entitled “1969-Siempre (Part 1) en Vivo desde Monterrey,” is being presented with the song “Dos Botellas de Mezcal” and includes numbers performed by the singer of Mexican regional music on Dec. 8, 2012, in the Monterrey Arena.

Jenni Rivera gave her last, massively attended concert in Monterrey hours before the private plane in which she was traveling with six other people went down in the northeastern state of Nuevo Leon.

Dos Botellas de Mezcal” is a song in “norteño” rhythm very much in the style of the “Diva de la Banda,” the record company said in a press release. The album “1969-Siempre (Part 1) en Vivo desde Monterrey,” which goes on the market Dec. 3, includes a disc with 18 songs, several of which are potpourris, and a DVD with five music videos including “Mariposa de Barrio.”

The launch comes soon after Saturday’s inauguration in Panorama City, California, of the Jenni Rivera Boutique, one of the pet projects the singer was working on before her tragic death.

Fans of this singer of Mexican descent can find at the boutique her records, T-shirts, jeans and even her perfumes.

The family of the late singer, included on the latest Forbes list of deceased artists who bring in the most revenues, is preparing a concert in tribute to Jenni Rivera in Monterrey to commemorate the first anniversary of her passing.
