Hispanic News in ChicagoCity Council Give Mayor Emanuel’s Pick for the Public Buildings Commission, Juan Rangel
The Chicago City Council has approved Juan Rangel for appointment to the Public Buildings Commission.
The PBC oversees oversees building construction for the city, Cook County, Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago Park District, and a number of other agencies.
Rangel says he expects to resign his current position as a member of the Chicago Park District board, which he was appointed to by Mayor Emanuel’s predecessor former Mayor Daley.
