This week, the Mexican Army managed to seize in Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas a recent model armored vehicle used by the drug cartel- Zetas. The Monster 2011, courtesy of Los Zetas, is shown in this picture.

The new model runs up to 110 kilometers per hour, the predecessor, the Monster 2010 could only reach 40 kph.

In the municipality of Santa Maria de los Angeles, Jalisco, agents were able to find several vehicles belonging to assassins, among whom was another version of the Monster 2010, but was more compact than the model shown above.

The Monster 2010 compact, armored with steel, presented the traditional and side hatches, although the turret shows something new in design. This vehicle was made in Tamaulipas, used by the Zetas but was found in Jalisco after a confrontation. Reports indicate that the 2010 version of the compact car was the prototype for designing the 2011.

The carriage holds 10 gunmen, plus four-wheel drive, and the front has an attachment to be towed, the front wheels are protected with steel plates to avoid being hit by the bullets of their enemies. It has a stereo, and in the back of the Monster is speakers, also has satellite communication equipment.
