Wisconsin Has Highest Percentage of Binge Drinkers in the Country

The Centers for Disease Control have named the home state of this year’s Super Bowl champs as the state with the highest percentage of binge drinkers.

According to the CDC, Wisconsin holds the highest percentage of adult residents who are binge drinkers with 22.8 percent.

Binge drinkers were defined at men who consumed five or more drinks and women who consume four or more drinks on at least one occasion in a month.

The Midwest took up seven of the top ten states for binge drinking, with Wisconsin (1), North Dakota (2), Iowa (3), Minnesota (4), Illinois (5), Nebraska (6), and South Dakota (10).
