Today in 1976 Law & Order actress Alana de la Garza was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in El Paso, Texas. This former special needs teacher just found her acting niche in shows like: Law & Order, Law & Order: LA, Law & Order: Special Victims, CSI: Miami, Forever and most recently Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
De la Garza did not start out playing detective roles she actually started in the soap opera All My Children before being offered guest appearances on popular TV series like Two and a Half Men and Smalllville. But it was in 2006 when she joined NBC’s well established program Law & Order that she found her “TV calling” with the role of Assistant District Attorney Connie Rubirosa. A role she has played in three different series.
On the big screen, De La Garza starred in the 2014 film Are You Here, along side Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Amy Poehler.
