What does a ‘Hispanic Heart’, Speedy Gonzales & the Tea Party Have in Common?

The homophobic crusty crooner, Pat Boone, has resurfaced and not from the dead as most of you assume but rather on the election campaign trail.  Boone who supports any and all ultra conservative candidates came out in support recently of Tea Party Texas Republican Clayton Trotter.  Remember Boone is the same enlightened individual who referred to liberals as “black filthy cells.”  He should of stuck to singing on cruise ships to aging seniors that can’t hear that well in order to keep himself in the lime(dim)light of fame. 

Trotter is going against the incumbent Charlie Gonzalez in a Congressional race situated in the heart of San Antonio, Texas.  The district is almost all Hispanic and in the land of the Alamo where Mexico conceded defeat in the U.S-Mexico War (not to be confused with the other war called immigration reform) and lost most of its territory.  Hence its good to tell Mexican-Americans you luv ‘em there even if you don’t. 

This promoted Trotter (never to be confused with Charlie Trotter) to announce “I’m Anglo with a Hispanic heart.”  We aren’t sure what a ‘Hispanic heart’ is and if it’s any different than anyone else’s and don’t dare to tear ours out to find out – only the Aztecs did that.

To further his position with the Latino constituency in San Antonio, Trotter trotted out Pat Boone whose only claim to Hispanic-fame is that he sang a little ditty called ‘Speedy Gonzales’ back when the Alamo still belonged to Mexico.  And as embarrassing as that is, he is the first to tell you about it while lashing out at gays, liberals and women who don’t wear bras.  Clearly he couldn’t think of anything else positive to say about Hispanics but wants to make sure they vote for Trotter because he knows ‘the fastest mouse in Mexico’ and has sung its praises.

Not sure who the ‘speediest mouse’ is in all of Mexico but I know who the pendejo in this story is. 

Watch the video and you will laugh so hard and also thank God we are no longer living in the days where the concept of racial profiling didn’t exist- well that is until the Tea Party came to town.
