Estelle Gonzales WalgreenMad Mel, Minutemen and Immigration – Not a Movie Plot!!
When you hear the name Mel Gibson you think movie blockbuster, well OK maybe not anymore. What you don’t expect to hear, even in these Mel-is-a Maniac days is Mel, Minutemen and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the same breath.
The very clever San Diego Minutemen, the Barney Fife’s of California are enjoying a lot of press lately. This is the same organization that claimed an “armed incursion” from drug cartels had occurred on U.S. soil over the weekend and somehow no else heard about it. They recently expanded their Barney Fife security patrol by snitching out our crazy Mel. You know the type of organization this is, humanitarian, non-alarmist, levelheaded do-gooders the country can’t live without.
[San Diego Minutemen] They came to the brilliant conclusion that Mel had an illegal employed at his home when they heard Mad Mel on a tape referring to someone as a “wetback”.
While trying to enforce their lofty mission to “preserve our sovereignty” and “oppose all of the radical illegal alien activist groups” they reported Mel to ICE on suspicion of employing an illegal immigrant. They came to the brilliant conclusion that Mel had an illegal employed at his home when they heard Mad Mel on a tape referring to someone as a “wetback”. If his beleaguered staff wasn’t overwhelmed enough now they might have to fear a work raid, which might not be as bad as dealing with one of his gin-soaked rants.
Of course we can all breathe a sigh of relief that a “radical illegal” might be taken off the streets instead of over waxing the furniture with Pledge. Hopefully the “radical illegal” ICE might find won’t be Oksana Grigorieva (don’t know if her papers have been checked) because I want more mad Mel tapes released for summer entertainment.
Neither Mel nor his reps or ICE have confirmed these claims by the San Diego Minutemen.
