¿Por Que?

I have long avoided bashing, talking about or even acknowledging Sarah Palin - with so many loquitas in my familia - I have a kind of empathy for her. And when you have a loquita mixed with a tonta factor then in my book they are hands off.

I also believe Sarita has some Latino blood in her and that would make her familia. Yes, unlike her, I know my geography and know the difference between Wasilla and Oaxaca, but the stereotypical cultural similarities are undeniable. 

For starters Latinos are predominantly Christian and when words and logic and know how fail us, we are quick to fling the holy water and biblical verses so you won’t notice we know nothing about everything. Sound familiar? There are other stereotypical Latino elements to Palin which are endearing. What with her knocked up teenage daughter, her love of the free shit, quitting a job before its finished and having a sometimes gainfully employed husband - we are talking someone right out of mi barrio. When I saw her shooting elk and butchering the turkey I thought oh my God that’s my family preparing the butchered goat in the backyard for a carnitas supper. Is there such a thing as a Latino Alaskan hillbilly?

You can ask my family, I support all my cousins who like Palin, either got a degree they purchased on line or after going to three different colleges got one for perseverance and yet have figured out how to solve world hunger. These are the very same folks that have a high degree of bravado to mask the low degree of brains and yet want to share IT with the world. Bravo I say, I am open minded and tolerant, and also in the need of some good entertainment. But when the dummies become dangerous, I have to speak out.

Sarita what are you doing quietly supporting Tom Tancredo for Governor of Colorado? I know you support his English-only stance, but he does mean PROPER English ONLY not your grammatically challenged version. What it is that you like about him: that he thinks Hispanic advocacy organizations are the KKK, or that he didn’t want any Spanish books in the Colorado public libraries or, for that matter, he didn’t want Latinos in the libraries at all. As a Christian, do you agree with him when he states that the Pope wants illegal immigration to continue to fill the coffers of the Catholic Church? He is a racist and hates Latinos and I said it in the most plain and simple language you can even understand.

Oh wait, I think I might know what you like. He’s tonto and loquito also, so he’s is your familia. Or is it that he does support legalizing marijuana? God knows we will all need some should he, or others like him, get elected.

Sarita remember, 2012 isn’t that far away and you may come a calling for the Latino vote. We can forget the butchered English, poor grasp of facts or reality and the way you can suck a dollar out of any opportunity. I especially admire any woman that can have a party of aging white, past-their-prime men, also known as the GOP, pay for her Spanx but I won’t forget who your friends are. Especially ones like Tom Tancredo.
