Trump’s New Labor Nominee Loves to Keep Workers Poor, Uninsured and Naked on TV

Carl'sJr Is King of Labor

The nearly 4 million people employed in the fast food industry, 20% of which are Latino, collectively gasped when “Make America Great” President-elect Donald Trump selected a man for Labor Secretary, who has vowed to keep them poor and uninsured while threatening to replace them with a robot if they dare ask for a living wage.

Trump nominated 66-year-old Andy Puzder, CEO of CKE Restaurants as his Labor head, a role historically viewed as the chief protector of the American worker and not the curse of the American worker especially those flipping hamburgers and deep frying chicken nuggets. Trump should be given credit for nominating someone to Labor who is an actual employer versus selecting someone like a Dr. Ben Carson whose only qualification to be HUD Secretary appears to be that he owns a house and is black.

Puzder has been at the helm of CKE, parent company of Carl’s Jr, Hardee’s, and let’s now forget everyone’s favorite Green Burrito, since 2000 and in that time has left an ample trail of what he thinks of the rank-and-file worker in numerous articles and his own blog.

What to expect: A peel back like a potato of government regulations that he feels have hindered the growth of business, especially the restaurant industry. “Government over regulation has had severe consequences for economic growth, job creation, dignity and self-respect,” he said.

He went on to note that “restaurant margins tend not to improve because of the extra cost of employees.” So how exactly does that qualify him to head the labor department which is about the worker not the work? Wasn’t there any position over in the Commerce department Trump could offer?

Here is a menu of what Putzer suggests businesses need to do to reclaim “self-respect”: Eliminate Obamacare, no mandatory minimum wage, no broader overtime pay and of course more Carl Jr ads where D-list beauties copulate with a hamburger and get soaked in saturated fat externally. And for those that don’t agree and dare demand a living wage - abolishment by your friendly robot - machines Putzer said are “always polite, they always upsell, they never take a vacation, they never show up late, there’s never a slip-and-fall, or an age, sex, or race discrimination case.”

Yes folks this is who will be head of Labor if confirmed.Trump with his limited grasp of the obvious said Puzder has an “extensive record fighting for workers.” WTF – when exactly?

Under Putzer’s superior leadership his restaurants have been accused of labor violations, class-action lawsuits for lack of overtime pay, and of course contributing to the artery clogging of both liberals and conservatives.

What Puzder can be credited with is recognizing what makes America great hence why he is a perfect fit to work in the Trump administration:

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a beautiful woman in a bikini, eating a burger and washing a Bentley or a pickup truck or being in a hot tub,” Puzder told CNNMoney in 2015. “I think there’s probably nothing more American.”
