Soccer Great Leo Messi Has Never Scored a Goal on British Soil - Will It Happen Tomorrow?

Incredible but true. The best soccer player in the world has never been able to score a goal in the UK.

Leo Messi is currently the best soccer player in the world. With remarkable stats, an unmatched and bedazzling playing style and a team that seems to be telepathically connected to each other, it is not a surprise that the Barça remains unbeaten.

But try as he may have, there’s one feat “La Pulga” hasn’t been able to accomplish, and that is to score a goal in British ground.

It all started 5 years ago in the Stamford Bridge stadium, when the Barcelona played the Chelsea, in an epic game that Barcelona won (not because of Leo) 1-2, effectively moving towards their second Champions cup. One year later, against the same opponent, the Barça would lose 1-0.

Later that year, Messi played in the UK against the Anfield; Not only did the Barça loose, they also got eliminated.

Messi has had three more chances to score on British soil; once in the Old Trafford, against the Manchester United, once in Stamford Bridge and once in the Emirates, a tied game. Messi was not able to score in any of these.

Tomorrow, and after having scored a whopping 167 goals with the Barcelona, Messi will have the chance to shake off the curse and score one against the British, against the Arsenal, in the Emirates Stadium.

Will he make it? Comment below.
