Puerto Rico officials were startled and very cautious when they were investigating an abandoned oceanfront building for drug activities and came across a caiman drug guard.
The caiman, which is a member of the crocodile family can get as big as 8 feet long and can crush human bones rather easily and moves in quick bursts of movement. The caiman was tied near the drug stash that contained 200 bags of cocaine, 30 bags of heroin and an unknown quantity of marijuana.
Officers probably knew the caiman, found mostly in Central and South American prefers a fish diet to human meat but were careful when seizing the animal.
