Photo: Leo Bravo was just released from jail, but faces new sexual abuse charges
Though having just been released from jail for a prior sex abuse conviction, the Hispanic Center of Cache Valley’s former director may be heading right back behind bars.
In October, former director Leo Bravo was released from Cache County Jail after serving two years for his conviction on two amended counts of attempted forcible sexual abuse for assaulting a woman who had gone to the Hispanic Center in search of help.
And though he served his time for the inappropriate contact, Bravo is now facing five counts of rape, five counts of object rape, five counts of sodomy, and one count of forcible sex abuse.
The victim is said to be a woman who also had ties to the center from which Bravo resigned as director in 2009.
Utah’s Logan Police Department says the victim was a juvenile when the alleged crime occurred about 10 years ago. It was not indicated why the victim waiting so long to come forward, but said that the department was informed in October that second victim might be coming forward.
