Jesus Hernandez III, also known as Quantum, is following in his father’s footsteps by becoming a well-known Luchador.

Quantum, a 5-foot-10, 190 pound, 18 year-old, has already made a name for himself in the Lucha Libre circuit as one of the most athletic wrestlers.  He has fan bases in Mexico, Texas, Colorado and California where he is being featured as the main event in front of packed crowds, unlike his father whose career began 20 years ago fighting in other’s garages for friends and driving for an hour for bouts that boasted a purse of about $10.

Regardless of the differences between the two starts, the older Jesus Hernandez has only pride for the fame and notoriety his son is achieving.  He has been supported from the start, when his son began his training at 2 years old by jumping off couches while watching wresting.

At age 11, the young Hernandez was wresting at events under the aliases Super Hijito (Super Child) and Mini Silver Tiger.  As for the name he goes by now, it was given to him by his father after the family’s move to Colorado a few years ago. “It means infinite possibilities,” said Jesus Hernandez.

“As far as wrestling, I taught him everything.  But as far as being his dad, I said ‘You can raise hell as long as you don’t break God’s laws or the laws of the land.’ And he follows God’s rules and the laws of the land,” said the elder Hernandez.  “He’s an awesome kid.  I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
