Though no final decisions have been made, William Daley, former Commerce Secretary and brother to Mayor Richard Daley is considered to be top on the list for the Presidents Chief of Staff position.

He would be the permanent replacement for Rahm Emanuel who left in October.

Daley currently works as Chicago’s JP Morgan’s Midwest Chair and head of corporate responsibility.

Bloomberg News was the first to report Daley was being so highly considered. The job has not yet been offered to Daley pending interim chief of staff Peter Rouse’s decision on his desire to stay.

Daley boast a well rounded resume as he is a former Cabinet member, ran the Gore campaign, and is currently a member of the banking community which may aide him in working with the new GOP controlled Senate.
