Voters Say Budget Crisis is Politicians’ Fault

A new Rasmussen Report revealed that a frustrated 73% of Illinois voters believe the state’s budget crisis is directly due to politicians’ unwillingness to reduce government spending.

Democrats, Republicans, and those not affiliated with either party are all in agreement that the politicians are to blame.

A telephone survey of Likely Voters found that 16 percent blame the taxpayers’ unwillingness to pay higher taxes, while ten percent aren’t sure who is at fault.

Currently, only nine percent of the voters surveyed rated the U.S. economy as good or excellent, while 57 percent rated the economy as poor.
