Two Taken into Custody for a String of Robberies
Isidro Torres, 34, of the 2700 block of West Harrison and Yuliana Trigueros, 21, of the 4400 block of West 77th Place were both arrested and charged with four counts of robbery in connection to a string of robberies in the Ogden (10th) District.
On August 22 vigilant officers observed a vehicle which had been identified as having been used in a robbery which had occurred earlier that day in the 2800 block of South Avers Ave. Officers stopped the gold colored Nissan Maxima to investigate further while Trigueros was parking it in the 4400 block of West 77th Place, in the vicinity of her home. Trigueros was identified as the offender who drove the vehicle during the robbery and was taken into custody. Further investigation led officers to Torres, who was identified as the offender who approached the victim, and pulled a gold chain from her neck. Torres was taken into custody in the 700 block of North Kedzie.
Area Four Detectives connected Torres and Trigueros to cases with similar circumstances which had occurred on August 18, in the 2300 block of South Western, August 19, in the 2400 block of South Homan and on August 20, in the 3100 block of South Springfield.
Both appeared in court this morning.
