Two Men Wounded in Apparent Drive-By
Monday morning, two men were wounded in what appears to be a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood.
Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said that at about 1:10 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of North Richmond Street where they found two 23-year-old male gunshot victims.
One man was shot in the back, while the other in the stomach. Police say they were taken to Norwegian-American Hospital in serious condition, then later transferred to Stroger Hospital.
Initial reports say the men were standing outside when a light-colored SUV drove up and someone in the vehicle began shooting.
As of early this morning, Harrison Area detectives were still investigating and no one was in custody.
