Suspect in 1994 Pilsen Shooting Arrested Trying to Re-enter U.S. from Mexico
Alfredo Marin, 39, has been arrested in San Diego and brought to Chicago to face murder charges for the 1994 shooting that occurred in Pilsen. The murder took place on April 2, when Marin and the unidentified victim were fighting at the 2000 block of South Allport and Marin allegedly proceeded to shoot the victim several times.
Another suspect was involved with Marin in the crime. Marin fled to Mexico shortly after the shooting occurred. He was arrested this past April when he attempted to re-enter the country via San Diego. Marin was arrested by border protection agents and Chicago officials went to California to bring Marin here to face charges.
