Run Off for the 16th Ward Between Incumbent Alderman Joann Thompson and Hal Baskin
Though the Mayor’s race has been decided a total of 14 Chicago aldermanic ward races must take place in April, since these alderman races did not garner a candidate that won more than 50 percent of the votes.
In the 16th ward, which includes a large portion of the city’s Southwest side including Gage Park, McKinley Park and Chicago Lawn, there will be a run-off election between incumbent Alderman Joann Thompson and Hal Baskin who runs a community gang intervention program.
