Pilsen Fire Caused by Kids Playing with Fireworks
Three building were damaged in the Pilsen neighborhood and one woman injured when children were playing with fireworks around 4:00 pm in the afternoon.
The fireworks started an extra-alarm fire at a three story building at 1323 W. 18th Street and quickly spread to two other buildings at: 1319 W. 18th Street and 1317 W. 18th Street. The fire was finally brought under control at 5:30 pm.
The woman who is elderly was brought to University of Illinois at Chicago with minor smoke inhalation issues and is in fair condition.
