(Logan Square) Fire in Residential Building, 2 Without Homes
In Northwest Side Logan Square, a residential building caught on fire and has left two people without a home.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
According to the fire department spokesman Richard Rosado, Chicago firefighters were notified of the fire at 2700 block of North Monticello Avenue at 5:48 a.m. and it was under control by 6:10.
Rosado stated that the fire was on the 2nd and 3rd floors porches of the three-story building.
At least two adults were displaced, and Rosado said he was unsure of exactly how many people were in the building at the time, but believed around 10 people exited safely without assistance.
