During this holiday season, Chicago Police in the 24th District will be hosting a collection drive for the “Cell Phones for Soldiers” Charity.  Department members and members of the community are invited to drop off gently-used cell phones for recycling.  The funds raised through the recycling effort are put toward pre-paid international calling cards.

The cards are then provided to U.S. troops deployed overseas so that they may connect with loved ones back home.

All this is happening today, December 22, 2011 from 2pm - 3pm at the 24th District Station located at 6464 North Clark St, Chicago, Illinois.
