Halloween Humboldt Park Killer, Narcisco Gatica, Found Guilty

Admitted gang member, 21-year-old Narcisco Gatcia was found guilty today of the murder of DePaul student Francisco “Frankie” Valencia on Halloween in Humboldt Park back in 2009.
Honor student and campus leader, Valencia, was attending a party at the 1700 block of North Rockwell where Gatica had been kicked out of. Gatcia was angry and took out his revenge by firing a TEC-9 pistol four or five times striking Valencia and wounding another party goer Daisy Camacho.
Gatcia, is a self-admitted member of the Maniac Latin Disciple gang and today was convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated battery. Another Maniac Latin Disciple, Berly “Billy” Valladares was also found guilty of participating in the murder of Valencia in a separate trial.
Gaticia faces 51 years in prison for both shootings and will be sentenced October 21, 2011.
