Expansion of Fourth Annual Little Village Youth Forum Wanted by Community

The community of Little Village is hoping the annual Little Village Youth Forum will continue and expand its scope in light of the recent deadly shootings.

The forum’s motto is ‘prevent violence, promote peace’ is what Little Village needs after the stabbing of Omar Mendez and shooting in broad daylight of Arturo Santana, all within 24 hours.

The forum hosts workshops on issues ranging from conflict resolution to domestic violence and is hosted by over 20 community organizations.  Over 1,000 kids were in attendance.

Many residents and community organizers want the Little Village Youth Forum to expand and reach more kids in the community and offer more violence prevention initiatives.
