CRIME: Police Shoot Armed Suspect
An armed suspect was shot by Chicago Police conducting a routine drug surveillance in the North Lawndale neighborhood at the 2200 block of South Kolin Avenue. The unidentified suspect was approached by police Friday night when he was observed walking with a gun through a vacant lot. He was asked to drop his weapon and when he aimed the gun at officers he was shot.
The unidentified man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and none of the Chicago police officers involved were injured.
