COMMUNITY ALERT: Robberies in 10th District (Ogden)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 010th District ( Ogden) of an increase in robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of June. Offenders, identified on three occasions as Latin Kings, used physical violence and gang intimidation to rob victims of a bicycle, iPhone, wallets and USC. Incident times and locations are listed below:
2400 – 2700 Blocks of S. Whipple to Christiana
About the Offenders:
Offender descriptions vary, but are generally described as; One to three male, Hispanics, between the ages of 15-20. On two occasions the offender stated a Latin King slogan, on one occasion victim identified the offender as Latin King gang member from the neighborhood.
What you can do:
-Always be aware of your surroundings
-Report suspicious activity immediately
-If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
-Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
-Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
-If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
-Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
