Commercial Garage Fire Injures Firefighters
Firefighters were called to a fire on the 4300 block of West Division Street at 2:10 p.m., said spokesman for the department, Richard Rosado.
A firefighter was injured in the fire that started after this week’s harsh winds ripped the roof off of a commercial garage that in turn pulled down electrical lines.
The firefighter was in good condition after receiving a shock from the electrical current, and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic hospital, officials said.
