ComEd Asking Residents to Test Solar Energy

ComEd is using some people who live along the Eisenhower Expressway and in Humboldt Park neighborhood to test some energy-saving ideas.

The company calls it the innovation corridor that will use so-called smart devices and infrastructure.

The biggest part of the plan involves the installation of solar panels at those homes.

ComEd will compare what kind of energy results those residents get compared to homes without the solar panels.
