Chicago Bookstore Provides Spanish-exclusive Books
Pilsen’s Libreria Giron, one of the three family-owned Giron bookstores, exclusively sells books in Spanish, ranging from Ricky Martin’s new book “Yo”, to classics, to new books from best-selling authors like Nobel Prize-winning Mario Vargas Llosa.
Owner Juan Giron, having grown up in Pilsen and attended DePaul University, knows the area well and says, “Pilsen has become an arts center for the Latino community, and a bookstore is essential for people to have a meeting of the minds.”
The bookstore is located at 1443 W. 18th St, and open from 9 - 8 Monday through Saturday, and 10 – 6 on Sunday, or at gironbooks.com.
