In McKinley Park on Friday morning, a new charter school was opened in the Southwest Side neighborhood.
2774 W. Pershing is the site of the ninth charter school from The United Neighborhood Organization in the neighborhood.
While the first day of school is not officially until Tuesday, September 7, the students and family members were invited inside to meet their teachers and tour the new school.
