Brighton Park Pothole Accident Victim To Receive Settlement from City
Zuriel Padilla who was critically injured and lost one of his legs in a winter accident in Brighton Park is set to receive a settlement agreement from the City of Chicago.
In February, 2008 Padilla hit a deep pothole near the intersection of Archer and Kedzie causing his car to skid and hit a nearby fire hydrant. The accident was so severe that one of his legs needed to be amputated.
Now the Chicago City committee has approved a $300,000 settlement, a full City council approval is needed for the matter to be considered settled. Padilla blames the city for not repairing the pothole.
