(Brighton Park) Man Allegedly Steals T.V. and Gets Killed For It
Police say Raul Medina got into an argument with another man over the alleged theft of a television set, an argument that led to Medina’s death.
Police are spoke with two “persons of interest” Thursday afternoon, after a witness says she saw Medina run over by own car following an argument with another person.
The argument took place near Medina’s car on the 4000 block of South Kedzie on Chicago’s south side. Medina reportedly walked away, at which the person he was arguing with jumped into Medina’s car, drove onto the sidewalk, and purposefully tan over Medina.
Medina was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 2:35 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The suspect is in custody and is said to be a 24-years-old male.
The police and the witness have given conflicting accounts of what happened, and the story continues to unfold. Police state that a woman is also believed to be involved.
