ALERT: Young Girl Nearly Abducted in Back of the Yards
Tuesday evening, two men attempted to abduct a young girl walking in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.
Detectives of the Wentworth area issued a community alert about the incident Thursday.
Around 5:30pm, the girl was walking near 51st and Oakley when two men in a brown car pulled up next to her. The driver stayed in the car while the passenger got out and attempted to grab the girl, but she got away from her would-be captors and ran to safety.
The only description given was that the men were Hispanic and appeared to be in their 40s or 50s with black hair. The alert said the men were driving an old, brown four-door car.
