ACCIDENT: Good Samaritan Police Trainee Critically Injured on the Stevenson
28 year-old former Marine and Chicago police trainee, Daniel Vazquez was critically injured when he came to the assistance of a motorist involved in an accident on the Stevenson Expressway. Vazquez noticed a motorist on the Damen Ave exit had been involved in an accident and was assisting the motorist when a car hit him. The 26-year old driver was cited for excessive speed, driving without a license and improper lane usage. Vazquez was due to graduate from the police academy as a probationary officer next month. He is a married father of three with a pregnant wife.
