Cast Kills It In Robert Rodriguez’s Machete

The tagline for highly successful writer/director/producer, and Texas-born, Robert Rodriguez’s, Machete (September 3rd) sets up the story of ex-Federale, Machete (Danny Trejo) who is hired to kill an American politician only to be double-crossed by his boss. Rodriguez has dozens of credits to his name, and Machete adds more.

Along side Trejo, is the recently released Lindsay Lohan, as well as number of Hispanic actors. Cheech Marin, Jessica Alba, and Michelle Rodriguez round out much of the supporting cast.

With lines like, “If you want a war, I’ll give it to you,” Michelle Rodriguez brings us street-wise butt-kicking like only she can. Born in Texas before living in the Dominican Republic as well as Puerto Rico, Rodriguez has made a name for herself as an award-winning actress.
ImageIn the end, despite the controversy that one could see fit to surround this film (Ms. Lohan, Arizona), Michelle and Robert Rodriguez (not related) and Trejo, have teamed up to bring us an explosive movie set at the U.S.-Mexico border. With people already thinking to call Machete the first Latin superhero, audiences are sure to feel the explosions, forget to blink, and root for a real bad-a**.
