Carlos Slim, the world’s richest man has inaugurated his gorgeous Soumaya Museum, to house his impressive art collection. It will open later this month.

The event was hosted by Larry King, and even the president of Mexico Felipe Calderón was in attendance.

The museum was designed by Mexican architect Fernando Romero, who is Slim’s son in law, incidentally.

Slim’s vision is to make art from everywhere in the world available to Mexicans who cannot leave the country. The museum is named after Slim’s late wife. When it opens, The Soumaya museum will be one of the largest in the Western world.
