Voters Choose their November Candidates in Several Primaries

Primary results from yesterday show who voters want to see on Novembers ballot.

Florida- In the US Senate Primary Race, Democratic Rep. Kendrick Meek and Republican ex-state House Speaker Marco Rubio won and the race will be a three-way battle including Gov. Charlie Crist who is running as an independent. A Recent poll shows Crist taking 32 % of the vote in November against Rubio and Meek.

Florida’s Gubernatorial primaries Alex Sink is projected as the Democratic winner, with Rick Scott as the victor in the Republican primary.

Arizona- CNN projected McCain won the GOP Primary as he seeks his fifth term in the US Senate. Gov Jan Brewer appears to be headed for a sure victory in her bid for the Primary for the Republican Gubernatorial spot.

Alaska- With 66 % of the precincts reporting, Alaska’s Republican Primary reports Miller had 51.7% and Murkowski at 48.3%.

There will not be an official result for a week in the Alaska primary, as absentee ballots will need to be counted. Miller, who was endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and the Tea Party Express, said he was “absolutely certain” Palin’s support for his campaign was “pivotal,” the Anchorage (Alaska) Daily News reported.
