HS News Salutes the millions of Hispanic Americans that have served in the US Armed Forces or fought for the country before it became a nation.  For example, a coalition of Mexicans, Spanish, Cubans and Puerto Ricans defeated a British force of 1,200 at what is now St. Louis in 1779. Over two hundred years of valor has been provided by Hispanics for America that continues to this day in battles in Afghanistan, Iraq and wherever American forces fight to protect our country and what we believe in.
